We’ve always said some of the nicest people in Alabama live at Country Place Senior Living and George Yeend and Elsie Mosher are no exception.

As a retired Captain from the US Navy, George Yeend is well known in the area for his integrity, optimism and gracious spirit. George enjoys a highly active lifestyle at Country Place, where his experience as a deacon at Fairhope’s St. Lawrence Catholic Parish makes him a natural choice to lead Bible Study.

Country Place Resident, Elsie Mosher’s name certainly rings familiar to locals as her family – namely her son, Dean Mosher – have lovingly restored the amazing Mosher Castle. As an artist herself, Elsie is particularly fond of the many creative activities residents enjoy at Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope.

“When I decided my mother could no longer live safely in her apartment, I had great concerns about her maintaining her independence. She has been very happy at Country Place for over two years now. I am so glad and relieved she is there. The staff is very caring. Mom is treated with great care and support and is also encouraged to be as independent as possible. Criss, the resident nurse, goes out of her way to help my mother. Couldn’t ask for more.”

 “My friends were worried about me moving into assisted living at Country Place but I told them don’t worry about me. I live in a multimillion-dollar house with 24 bedrooms and fully staffed to assist with any of my needs. I have three good meals a day, the staff attends to the housekeeping and laundry. The resident care assistants are very attentive to my needs. They see me coming out to breakfast and have my coffee ready as soon as I am seated. I enjoy the activities we have daily. I have good friends here and am very happy living at Country Place Senior Living. “
